State Entity that unites public and private initiatives to generate a competitive offer of goods and services that is diversified and has added value; and that develops commercial and tourist promotional activities.
Focused mainly on those activities directed towards the internationalization of companies, contributing in this way to the generation of foreign currency, the creation of employment opportunities and the diffusion of Peru’s image as an exporting country and attractive tourist destination.
Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR)
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism defines, directs, implements, coordinates and oversees policy on foreign trade and tourism.
It has the responsibility for the promotion of exports and international trade negotiations, in coordination with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economy and Finance and other government sectors in the scope of their respective powers. It is also responsible for the regulation of foreign trade.
The head directs sector international trade negotiations of the State and is authorized to sign agreements in the framework of its competence, in tourism promotes, directs and regulates the tourism activities in order to promote sustainable development, including promotion, guidance and regulation of craftsmanship.
